| 商品説明(英) | “Fugu no ko” refers to the ovaries of the pufferfish; generally, only the flesh is considered edible. Ishikawa Prefecture is the only place in Japan where this product can be sold, and the sticker affixed to the product indicates that it has been authorized for the manufacture and sale of pufferfish ovaries. It is safe to eat because it has been pickled in rice bran for over two years, during which time the toxins are neutralized by fermenting microorganisms. Please enjoy this traditional Kanazawa delicacy as a snack with sake or as an accompaniment to your meal. |
